Prelude for Sale

Post by Chris&Lou »

Hi does anyone know of anyone that is looking for a Prelude 19?

Pendragon, our early / mid 1970’s Prelude 19 four berth fin keel (sail no 218), is for sale. She is in need of a lot of TLC and would make an ideal project boat for someone with the right skills and knowledge. Pictures of her in 2015 (in the water) are on the Gallery.

She has space for a camping stove on gimbal rack, a cassette toilet and a selection of sails (the gib is roller furling). Note there is a fresh water tank on board but we cannot vouch for its condition as we have never filled or used it. The boat does not come with an engine, nor does it have any electrics built in. Although it does come with a selection of fenders, warps, a life bout device, sundry items and anchor. The trailer she is currently sitting on is no longer road worthy, but would after some TLC make an ideal yard trailer.

Pendragon was taken out of the water in November 2015 and has been sitting on her trailer ever since. As such Pendragon will require a thorough clean, anti-foul and wood varnishing along with, repairs to a crack around the keel socket into the hull, replacement of the standing rigging and re-fitment of the mast foot (the foot was damaged but now repaired and just needs re-attaching to the cockpit roof) and finally the windows are crazed and the rubber seals are starting to perish.

Pendragon is currently in land in Canterbury Kent and collection with a suitable flatbed road trailer is required. Sensible offers considered and happy to show people round Pendragon whom are after a project boat and also have the means to collect her if purchased.

If interested, drop me a line on here and I can send current pictures via e-mail etc......
